Live Deck

A control surface for one hand.

While you stream, your hands are busy. The Live Deck puts the things you do on a phone or a second monitor as big keys: polls, predictions, raffles, shoutouts, timers, chat modes and clips. Press one, see what happened, undo it if it was the wrong one.

Press a key. You can undo it.

Press the keys, and switch platform to see what changes.

The keys

Eight keys, and the truth about each platform.

The deck reads what each platform allows. A key that cannot run on one dims and says why, or does its Perchy version instead.

Poll

Ask chat a question with two to five choices and a timer.

  • Twitch: Native on Twitch
  • YouTube: Native on YouTube
  • Kick: Runs in chat

Prediction

Let chat bet seeds on what happens next. Never real money.

  • Twitch: Native on Twitch
  • YouTube: Runs in chat
  • Kick: Runs in chat

Raffle

Open entries, close them, draw a winner. Proof runs underneath.

  • Twitch: From Perchy
  • YouTube: From Perchy
  • Kick: From Perchy

Shoutout

Send a friend's channel to your viewers, with a line you wrote.

  • Twitch: Native on Twitch
  • YouTube: As a chat message
  • Kick: As a chat message

Timer

Start a countdown for a break, a round or a giveaway.

  • Twitch: From Perchy
  • YouTube: From Perchy
  • Kick: From Perchy

Slow mode

Slow chat down for a moment, then put it back.

  • Twitch: Native on Twitch
  • YouTube: Not on YouTube
  • Kick: Not on Kick

Clip

Save the last half minute. On platforms with no clip tool, mark the time.

  • Twitch: Native on Twitch
  • YouTube: Time is marked
  • Kick: Time is marked

Message scene

Send a set of messages for starting soon, be right back, or a raid.

  • Twitch: From Perchy
  • YouTube: From Perchy
  • Kick: From Perchy

Native means the platform's own feature. Runs in chat means Perchy runs it itself and counts the votes. Time is marked means that platform has no clip tool, so Perchy notes the time and keeps the VOD link. Read from the same platform table the bot uses.

Forgiving

You will press the wrong key one day.

The deck is built for a live moment, with a chat scrolling and a game going on. So it assumes you will slip.

Undo, right there

Every action that can be taken back has an Undo key next to the result. Close a poll early, start a raffle by mistake, switch slow mode on: one press puts it back.

Some things ask first

Some things cannot be taken back, like a message already sent to chat. Keys like that confirm before they act, and the confirmation says exactly what will happen.

A history of what you did

Everything pressed on the deck is listed with its time, so there is never a mystery about why chat is in slow mode.

Where it lives

Your phone, propped next to the keyboard.

The Live Deck is a web app. Open it in a browser, or install it to your home screen so it opens full screen like any other app.

  • Dark first, because you stream in a dim room
  • Big targets that a thumb can hit without looking
  • Works on a second monitor in a browser tab

One honest note

It is a web app, not a native app from an app store, so it needs a connection. If your phone loses signal, the deck says so rather than pretending a key worked.

Try the keys on your own stream.

Connect a platform and the deck is ready.
